The DfE Risk Protection Arrangement (RPA) provides comprehensive risk protection for public sector schools. It’s an alternative to commercial insurance for the education sector. The service provides coverage for losses due to cyber attacks and certain unforeseen events. Public sector schools can join the RPA and access a range of benefits, including expert support in a cyber incident. These are available 24 hours a day.
Conditions of cover
To be eligible for cyber cover, your school must:
- be a public sector school
- meet specific conditions including:
- having offline backups
- completing NCSC cyber security training
- registering with Police CyberAlarm
- having a cyber response plan
